Wiki

The Remote Sensor Actuator Interface (ReSAI) allows the remote introspection via external devices, e.g. android phones. It enables to aquire information about internal data and processes from software elements of a complex and/or distributed system such as robots (e.g. BIRON/ToBI or iCub). ReSAI was developed for further extension in terms of additional information channels or different client architectures.

The ReSAIDroid for android devices has been tested so far with android versions 2.1, 2.2, 2.2.1, 2.3.3 and 2.3.4. Devices for testing have been Samsung Galaxy Tab, HTC Desire, HTC Desire S and Nexus S.

Systems

The original system for the development of this tool was the ToBI platform of the Team of Bielefeld (ToBI) of the RoboCup@HOME competition (www.cit-ec.de/ToBI). One major goal was the easy extension of ReSAI to be usable on many platforms. Additionally ReSAI now is used for the iCub (http://www.robotcub.org) platform and we hope to be able to extend it even further.

Doku

There is a detailed API doku but we are working on the wiki to provide an easy start with ReSAI. We will collect some videos here of the tool in use or some tutorials, please feel free to contact us if you are missing something here.
